Available as instant download. The Nav Data itself is supplied by Lufthansa Systems and is used in real world aviation by more than airlines throughout the world. As in real life aviation many users are aiming at conducting their simulated flights with the aid of real and up to date navigational data. Numerous add-ons use Nav data bases for Microsoft Flight Simulator as well as XPlane for planning and performing flights.
As the real world Nav data is being updated on a regularly basis these have to be updated in the same manner to feed the add-ons with actual data bases. With NavDataPro Aerosoft is now offering such a periodical and regular update service.
NavDataPro is absolutely easy to use through its intuitive user interface where the user can select the add-on for which to install and update the Nav data base. With a simple mouse click the data will then be downloaded and installed. The program also runs on Windows-PC and Mac systems. Additional downloads:. Prepar3D V5 by Lockheed Martin is now available! Whenever major changes are planned and where additional notice is desirable and practicable, a publication date of at least 56 days in advance of the effective date should be used.
The two weeks between Publication date and Reception date is basically to allow for postal distribution. Effective days are always on a Thursday. Hereby think of Charts and Flight Management Systems to a fleet which can be anywhere in the world.
They are also referred to in most national AIPs when providing the data delivery dates for data originators. Each recipient has an internal date, called 'freeze' date or Cut-off date, before the effective date after which he can not accept changes anymore.

This is a major improvement to the really outdated FSX database. I did not know this site existed or that you could update the stock FSX database. I am just sharing the information. If you already knew about this then disregard this post. I hope you read the FAQ section on the website. There are quite a few drawbacks to performing this operation and it may interfere with 3-rd party apps. I would highly recommend that people read the FAQ before proceeding. I have not encountered any issues from updating the navaids yet.
Nice tool but if you fly planes like PMDG, etc. Well, does it not bother you that some runways have the old markings on them. Artur Pomajda. I only use addon airports if you were asking me. A good option for those that use default airports however. Although to be honest, even if a runway has the old number on it, it doesn't bother me much when I'm landing because I don't really spend time looking at it as long as I'm sure I'm heading for the correct runway.
I have to say, as appealing as this is, and I truly appreciate the work, I doubt I'll use it anytime soon. Well back before my FS9 system crashed, I spend a few hundred on every chart sectional, terminal, VFR planning, low and high IFR enroute, all 50 states approach booklets. They're from and match the FSX data almost perfectly.
Some day I suppose I'll update. I have downloaded the files but will wait since that would negate all that paper I bought lol. It would be nice to be able to use modern flight plans though.
Most of what I look up for IFR on flightaware is different now. I have to make my own and rework the plan. Plus with the GTN it'd be nice to have it match. PMDG has, as far as I know, no problem with this updates because, at least in myI have an option for the aircraft navigation systems to match exactly the courses on the FSX scenery for alignment with ILSs Well, you have created your own sim world.
However, this approach does not work if you fly online on Vatsim or Ivao, where you need the latest charts on board. The charts must also fit to the sim navdata. I think, using the above Navaids update from Herve Sors together with Navigraph charts or other subscribers is the most covenient way to be more or less up to date with todays world without the need to download charts manually.
This is true but I don't fly online. No reason really. Just never done it. I'm glad it's being updated though. That's great. You might also have a look at the appendix in the manual. In either case do not merge the two old and new directories. Remains of previous versions might cause trouble. For Windows these are:. Details can be found in the Files chapter in the manual.
Zoom to an airport in the map and right click on it. Select Set Look for another airport on the map, right click and select Set Have a look at the Tutorials which are also linked in the help menu. These help to get around in the program.
You can also backup the database directly. The userpoints are stored in a SQLite database. If interested you can look into this database using tools like this one: SQLitebrowser. Do the same for navaid search. Additionally undock the search window and let it float. Since the search is usuall only needed for flight preparation you can close the search dock window when flying Alt You can always open it quickly by hitting F4. It might contain waypoints that were removed later or radio navaids that were decommissioned.
These are shown in red and are treated like user defined flight plan waypoints in Little Navmap. Airways are displayed in red if they do not exist or the minimum or maximum airway altitude restrictions are violated by the selected cruise altitude when loading the flight plan. You have to reload the scenery library. See Load Scenery Library Dialog. Little Xpconnect does not create any menus items in X-Plane.
Installation was successful if you can find Little Xpconnect in the plugin information of the X-Plane plugin manager. You have to get a Navigraph subscription. This allows you to update the Little Navmap navdata to the latest. See Little Navmap - Install Navigraph Updates to see how to set the path correctly if the automatic scan did not find the path. There are only white bars with a black outline showing the runways. Use Navigraph for Navaids and Procedures is the recommended mode which will show detailed stock or add-on airports mixed with Navigraph navaids.
See Navigation Databases in the manual. Little Navmap did not recognize SimConnect. X-Plane does not use this. Therefore, this option is always present. You have to install this version. Note that the installation is skipped if this SimConnect version is already installed. Also, you cannot uninstall SimConnect which is no issue since it does not take much space and does not harm otherwise.
This is sometimes used to create remote connections with SimConnect.
